As much I hesitate to even mention 2020, the Servant Summer Festival 2020 rerun is almost upon us. Compared to last year, the Revival Lite run should be easier to deal with (although, it’s 4 days shorter compared to last year). For one, on the three point-ladders, the point-bonus has been increased by 10%. Also, if you have your Event Shop CEs from last year, you should be good to go. Another leg-up on points.

On that note, may my gacha luck be better than it was last year—not one 5🌟event CE came my way 😒 Anyway, requirement to participate is clearing Fuyuki so new (newish) users can participate.

About the only thing I’m pissed about is that I have no grails at the moment to take advantage of double EXP for grailing Jeanne (Berserker) further than Level 92.

Servant Summer Festival 2020 Event Shop + Drops

Gold Prisms

Up to 11 gold prisms are available if you participated in last year’s event and got all of the rewards, which includes the two dress keys for BB (Summer). If you don’t have BB (Summer), then you’ll get 9 gold prisms. The other 5 come from additional copies of Jeanne d’Arc Alter (Berserker).

Note: if you also get her ascension mats, those can be traded in for 1mil QP each (up to 5mil QP). This can be done by going into the Da Vinci Shop, and looking for “Sell Special Ascension Materials.” One requirement is that the welfare Servant in question has to be fully leveled already.

Skill Level Gems

If you’re in Gold Gem Hell (or even Gem Hell), this will be chance to get some gems before the fall lotteries. The shop has 20 Saber, Archer, Lancer, Assassin, and Berserker gems for each color. As for node drops, particularly Gold Saber gems, you’ll have to wait for the Part 2 free quests.

🤬 An on-going rant of mine is the sparsity of good drops for Gold Gems in general. It seems like the Knight classes have worse drops than the Calvary classes. I ran the Expert Saber node 4 times once (160 AP) and did not get one freakin’ gem. You’d think that DW would have improved drops since now aside from Rulers, you have Alter Egos that seem to need Gold Gems—generally Saber and Assassin depending on the Servant.

You’ll also have a chance to restock some mats like Aurora Steel, Permafrost Ice Crystals, Primordial Steel among other things.

At a quick glance Gem (Gold/Red/Blue) drops are slightly worse than the dailies quest. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t farm them since you will likely be farming one of the three points ladders anyway.

If I remember correctly from last year, this event will be a good chance to farm Phoenix Feathers outside of the Town Hall node in Salem. All nodes have Phoenix Feather drops, so don’t let this opportunity pass by.

Note: this is last year’s drop map. There’s no reason to assume that it’ll be different, except perhaps drop-rates will be better.

Event Shop Craft Essences

The Event Shop provides three of each craft essence needed to increase point drops. Each point ladder provides two additional copies of each craft essence.

Servant Summer Festival Mystic Code: Tropical Summer

It’s new if you didn’t play the event last year. I used this Mystic Code for the entirety of the event, trying to get it leveled as quickly as I could (it’s currently at Level 8). I also came to the conclusion that this Mystic Code is a must for Arts teams. I’m almost certain that I could get Chloe and Squirtoria to loop using this MC. Basically, it’s the next best thing to Castoria since her release isn’t until next summer. At any rate, this Mystic Code is basically the Arts answer to the Quick-based Brilliant Summer MC that was available during the Summer 2018 event. The main difference between the two is that the Quick boost is a 30% party-wide boost. There won’t be a single-servant Quick boost MC until next summer.

Mystic Code Skills

Increase Arts Card effectiveness for an ally (1 turn) and increase NP Strength for an ally (1 turn). At level 1, the Arts/NP boosts are 20%/10% respectively. At level 8 (where I’m at), the boosts are 27%/17%—which is pretty good. Fully leveled, the boosts are 30%/20%.

Surprise Water [link]

Increase Critical Star Gather Rate of Arts Cards for an ally (1 turn). This skill starts off with a 5000% gather rate, which pretty good off the bat. It doubles to 10k% once the MC is completely leveled. At max level, the cool-down is 10 turns. Honestly, I can never remember how gather rates work—is it advantageous for that turn, or do you need to wait for the next turn to get the benefit 🤔. Keep in mind that this isn’t just one chosen Arts card—it’s all of them. This skill might actually be helpful for Servants with one Arts card in charging their NPs faster.

Increase Buff Removal Resist for an ally (1 turn). Increase NP Gauge for an ally by 10%. This last skill is “eh.” The Buff Removal Resist is really only useful when you know you’re going to get hit with a debuff. The 10% NP guage increase is meh as well. Last summer, I didn’t find this skill all that useful. Compared to the other two, it’s basically a wet noodle.

Servant Summer Festival 2020 New Limited Servants

  • 5🌟Jeanne d’Arc (Archer)
  • 5🌟BB (Summer)
  • 4🌟Ibaraki-Douji (Lancer)
  • 4🌟 Ushiwakamaru (Assassin) — got her last year but haven’t had time to get her leveled up :\
  • 4🌟Queen Medb (Saber)
  • 4🌟Mysterious Heroine XX (Foreigner)

I love rerun events, mainly because you already have what you need to complete the event. Saving up from last year, I have most of the event CEs that I need, except for the 5🌟 Gacha CEs that never appeared for me. I shouldn’t complain too hard as I did get Jeanne d’Arc (Archer) out of the deal.

Rewards for Last Year’s Drops

Welfare Servant Jeanne Alter (Berserker)

As mentioned above, if you already have Jalter (Berserker) at NP5, you’ll get 1 gold prism for each additional copy. So, if you didn’t get her last year (or get her to NP 5), this year is your last chance. You will also be able to level her up quickly as she has a double EXP bonus for the duration of the event.

Costume Dress Keys

Last year featured costume dress keys for Robin Hood, Gilgamesh (Caster), and Edmond Dantes. If you got all three custom dress keys last year, playing the corresponding quests this year will award you a gold prism instead. Supposedly, this includes the dress keys for BB (Summer)

I grabbed them last year, but haven’t unlocked them yet. The drawback is you have to use ascension mats to unlock them, and well—I need those mats elsewhere.

Command Codes

Last year introduced Command Codes to the game, so if you got all three last year, this year you will get 1 gold prism for 5🌟 First Servant, 200 green prisms for 4🌟 Armament of Triumph, and 100 green prisms for 3🌟 Crest of Humanity.

5🌟 First Servant

Apply Damage Cut by 300 (1 time, 1 turn) to self when attacking with the engraved card.

Reward for completing Extra Quest Day 6 (Noon).

4🌟 Armament Of Victory

Increase Critical Star Gather Rate by 100% for the engraved card.

Reward for completing Extra Quest Day 3 (Night).

3🌟 Crest Of Humanity

Increase Critical Star Drop Rate by 30% for the engraved card.

Reward for completing Extra Quest Day 1 (Noon)

Raid Quests

There are 4 of them, and they’re basically raids in name-only. Plus, there isn’t a time limit (beyond the end of the event, of course) so basically you can do them at your own pace. Remembering my experience with last year’s raids, Sessyoin Kiara (Moon Cancer for this raid) was the most difficult. First off, you had to work with the day/night cycles to make it “easier”, second off she hits one of your front liners with a Taunt even if she’s stunned. Finally, she has the Nega Saver passive so don’t bring Rulers. I relied on my two main Archers: Chloe (now Level 100) and Tomoe (level 90) to churn out as much damage as needed. Thanks to both, I survived this raid—barely 😂 This year, methinks I’m going to try Summer Jalter since I have her leveled now—which I didn’t last year.

Is…is she kicking Barbatos in the 🥜? 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 I’m going to have to mess around with male bosses just to see if that’s the case 😁

Anyway, she’s being buffed by Merlin + Waver, and the Command Codes acquired in the Case Files events on all 3 of her Buster cards. 2 of her 3 skills are maxed at 10, and (so far) she’s grailed to Level 92. Other folks who had her grailed to 100 have reported higher damage on her NP than what I’m showing here.
