The Atlantis Pre-release Campaign is well underway. Judging from the dates, it’s safe to say that Atlantis should drop sometime after the 8th. I was a little surprised about getting Atlantis before the Christmas Event, but now that I’m thinking about it, I shouldn’t be surprised at all 😅
So, what have I been doing? Writing. Lots of writing for Silent Shadow, but I’m going to leave that for a separate update.
Anyway, I haven’t been active with Fate/GO since the Summer 2021 Event. I think my attempts to get more copies of ‘Zerker Musashi burned me out, and I couldn’t work up enough fucks to give about Gilfest or the Oniland re-run. I’m also finding that I now can’t work up the fucks to give for the Atlantis chapter or this year’s Christmas event. Although, to be quite fair, it’s mainly because I’m not impressed with this year’s Christmas welfare, Nightingale (Archer). I should play through for the lottery and the mats, though.
2021 Year in Review: Fate/GO Retrospective
Despite the summer burnout, I think I did very well this year. I got just about every SSR that I wanted, including ones that I failed to get last year.
- Space Ishtar (Avenger)
- Miyomoto Musashi (Berserker)
- Jeanne d’Arc (Archer) — technically doesn’t count because I got her last year, but I snagged two additional copies this year.
- Nobunaga (Avenger)
- Okita Alter (Alter Ego)
- Kingprotea (Alter Ego)
I have most of them max leveled to 90. Need to start on skills for all of the SSRs except Musashi, Okita Alter, and Kingprotea but I’m trying to build up QP before I do that.
2021 Welfare Servants
This year was awesome for welfare Servants, and yes I’m going to include Christmas 2020 in that list. All of this year’s welfare Servants are all good, solid picks to have in your line-up.
2022: The Year Ahead
This coming year is where we’re going to see the effects that the pandemic had on Fate/GO content, and it’ll be interesting, to say the least. Using Clairvoyance EX, saying that I’m not impressed with the 2022 events is not saying much. We get last year’s New Years Event re-run (which I bombed due to stress), so anyone else who failed like I did will at least get a chance to see the story through.
First Quarter of 2022
Next event at the end of January is the Amazoness.com event—which is basically a Setsubun clone. So I’ll likely skip that event.
February is the Valentines event with a new 5🌟 Servant, Sei Shonagon. I’m on the fence about this one. On one hand, I like Shonagon’s design. On the other, my roster is pretty Archer-heavy.
February also brings another X-million Downloads campaign, and this banner features Ereshkigal. I might try for her on this banner. That’ll depend on whether or not I decide to roll for Shonagon or not.
March is the Aeaean Spring Breeze event, which looks like it’ll just be an easy grab for materials. There’s also the Apocrypha re-run event at the end of the month, so if you missed out on getting Sieg, or missed getting additional copies (🙋🏽♀️), this event will be your last chance.
As far as new 5🌟 Servants in 2022, I’m on the fence. Unlike this past year, I’m not particularly impressed with the offerings. As far as interest, it looks like Castoria and Douman are the only two I’d consider rolling for, and Douman isn’t until the end of next year. I might role for V’ger in May. Honestly, I have this headcanon thing where Fate/GO’s Voyager is actually Ilia and Will Decker’s kid (if you’ve seen Star Trek: The Motion Picture, you’d get the reference).
That’s my thoughts on next year. I may have a more comprehensive post around New Year’s about all of the events that are coming in 2022.
